Hard to believe, but next year is the 35th anniversary of the iconic KLF White Room album.
My first experience of KLF was the instrumental version of ‘What Time Is Love?’ with it’s haunting, otherworldly, slightly acidic synth lines. The album version is the Top Of The Pops featured single/radio version, but the rebellious attitude and memories are there in spades.
The rest of the album is the rest of the story of KLF and their increasingly antics based songs – cumulating in the last track Justified and Ancient, which is so beyond parody.
If you don’t own a copy, it’s going to cost you a small fortune on vinyl, but the CD is still available at a realistic price from independent record shops and of course the online corporate giants. To this end I’ve included an Amazon affiliate link which costs nothing extra, but helps the site.
